LEI Oregon Completes the Westside Presale Services Forest Health Project for USDA Forest Service

Reducing Forest Fire Risk and Improving Forest Health

LEI Engineering & Surveying of Oregon worked during the summer of 2019 to assist the USDA Forest Service out of Republic, Washington, to complete forestry and engineering work for a fuels reduction and stand treatment project.  This exciting project involved delineating stand treatment boundaries that will be later treated through thinning and removal of downed woody debris to reduce forest fire risk. LEI Engineering & Surveying of Oregon completed this project over six months ahead of schedule allowing the Forest Service to move ahead with stand treatment over a year ahead of schedule.

This project is part of the USDA Forest Services’ ongoing effort to improve forest stand health and reduce forest fires.  LEI Engineering & Surveying of Oregon was happy to be a part of making this project a success for the Colville National Forest.
