For the EIS phase of the project, LEI Engineering and Surveying of Oregon located several potential new road alignments to provide access for construction of new ski lift towers and logging of new ski runs for analysis in the EIS. LEI Engineering and Surveying of Oregon performed a forest fire risk analysis and developed prescriptions for logging of ski runs.
In December of 2016, the Final Environmental Impact Statement was approved by the US Forest Service allowing the resort owner to begin construction. During the summer of 2018, LEI Engineering and Surveying of Oregon performed route surveys for proposed new road alignments for use in road design. LEI Engineering and Surveying of Oregon then performed low volume road design of these routes following US Forest Service standards and guidelines.
During the early fall of 2018, construction of the new access roads began and logging of new ski runs was done.
In 2019, new ski lifts were installed on the mountain and construction of the new ski runs and access road continued.
